Win a Pizza!

posted by bharrison

Domino’s Pizza as we all know has made an incredible turnaround. This summer CP+B helped them engage customers through a minigame on their facebook. You would find out by either a pandora takeover or a friend posting to their facebook. Here’s a little writeup about it.

Kraft Smiles

This is an older banner ad that I enjoyed playing with and I think it was very engaging. Like many others out there Kraft decided to utilize their facebook for a location of a minisite.

Los Angeles digital agency Talenthouse is using a facebook photography contest to build buss for Timberlake’s new film, “In Time.” Users can submit photos they have taken that show “every moment counts” (going with the film’s concept) for a contest to have their photo be Justin Timberlake’s profile picture for a month. Everytime somoene submits a photo, he/she is shown a trailer for the film..

interesting way of combining movies and facebook, dontcha think?

Display ad for Downy promotion

This is a discussion for everyone

In class, we discussed the difference between a microsite and a minisite.┬áMinisites “are 2 or 3 pages centered around a promotion.” The example above is an example of a promotion for Downy. And if you consider the buttons/links in the facebook page, then it can be said that it has 2 or more pages. However, since it’s housed in facebook, can it still be considered a minisite? Or is it catalogued as facebook page or app? My guess is that it’s just a minisite that’s using tools already available and it’s using a more affordable option as well (or at least I believe is more affordable). What do you think?
