posted by Matt Morrison

1) Starbucks – “My Starbucks Idea” – Gave users the opportunity to voice their opinion and ideas about the brand and user experience of Starbucks. Users were also able to view and vote on other users ideas, compete for points, and see ideas in action. This campaign not only brought in new customers for Starbucks but also gave their users the ability to interact with the brand through voicing their ideas for positive changes. MY STARBUCKS IDEA

NIKE (Interactive Campaign!)

posted by cford

Nike launched an interactive billboard experience  to coincide with a relaunch of its iD mass personalization Web site. This interactive campaign allows the people to use their phones to design a shoe on the Reuters sign in Times Square. What a great IDea!

Blog Assignment #2: Browser tools & Javascript

posted by cford

BROWSER TOOLS…

The above link will redirect you to a great website that reviews top CSS Browser Tools. I found that a lot of them will be helpful, as many of them allow you to edit as you are on the web, very similar to FireBug.

JAVASCRIPT….

I found a great resource for excellent and basic Javascript tools as well as a great website that showcases the hard work!

The link above will take you to a great website that gives very thorough examples of ways to incorporate Javascript. Though this was posted in 2009, it appears to me that a lot of these tools still apply. A category that stuck out to me specifically is ‘Image Manipulation and Graphing’. As designers, we will need to create the look just as much as the functionality.

The link above showcases work done by people all over the world who put Javascript to good use. I found this site very useful, because it demonstrates that something, so frustrating to many, can actually have some great outcomes.

1) Browser Tool-Code Mirror-code monkey
CodeMirror is a JavaScript component that provides a code editor in the browser. When a mode is available for the language you are coding in, it will color your code, and optionally help with indentation.
CHECK OUT CODE MIRROR

2) Nice Slider-DatPiff is a site that I use quite often for downloading mix tapes. They usually have a slider on their homepage advertising some new artist or a new mix tape. CHECK OUT DATPIFF
