This campaign for Starbucks really rewards the user in what he is already doing. It is an old but very clever example of using technology in a new way. The thought about this as something where consumers could be part of the experience even if they are not with the card, observing the behaviors that maybe a lot of people used to forget their rewards cards. They saw that people don’t forget their phones. They have them all the time and with the new app at the time it created a platform that users could use for their own benefit at Starbucks.
